My special little man is four years old today....I can't believe how time flies!

We got him a sand and water table (which he'll be sharing with Jacob, whose 2nd b-day was nine days ago) and some Spongebob underoos (which he won't be sharing). Heehee! Tonight I'll make some spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting...should be a rockin' good time!

Giving in to peer pressure and starting up a new blog over at Blogger....not sure what to do with this one. Should I keep it, copy/paste the same entries into each? Should I abandon it altogether? Maybe keep this one more as a "this is what me and the kids have been up to" type of blog, and have the other be more crafty? Thoughts?

The other one has been "decorated" but doesn't have much in the way of content yet. :)

And sheesh, I almost forgot! Today is when the NEW GutterGirlz prompt comes out!! We wanna know if you're a JUNKIE, an ADDICT....what one THING can you never get enough of?? Here's my take on the challenge....I made an ATC:

Yesterday was Brian and Katie's annual BBQ...always a great time! I even bought new sandals for the occasion.

This year, Jason was there with his kids, which meant that our kids were super happy to have their cousins there to play with....just love how they paired off and had such fun together.

Of course, Jacob was the "odd man out".....so he occupied himself by causing trouble. :)

Thank God for bubbles...that helped for at least, I don't know, 15 minutes or so.

Then, well......a few of us girls were talking about piercings, and (after clearing it with the hubbies) decided we'd go out on a little body piercing field trip. I went first, since I'm such a badass (yeah, right!) and got my tragus pierced. See it?

And let me tell you.....it HURT like heckfire! Especially that god-awful CLAMP! Man, when he was done and took the clamp off, it was as if angels were stroking my ear with kittens and bunny rabbits. I officially HATE the clamp.

Next, Brandi got her nose pierced....isn't she so cute?!! We all about died laughing when the guy swabbed her nose with iodine...on the INSIDE. She totally wasn't expecting that, and gave a little shriek! Maybe you had to be there, but trust me...it was hilarious!

Laura got the top of her ear pierced, and she made it look WAY less painful than my choice of piercing locations. This may be one I get done in the future....but it'll be a loooong while from now!

Katie had them put the bar back in the top of her ear....she already had an industrial piercing and just needed the holes reopened.

Today has been pretty uneventful in comparison. :) There's a cybercrop going on at TallyScrapper this weekend, and I have a challenge in the digital gallery. You should check it out! The crop actually ends on Monday night, when the new Design Team is decided, and I'll be staying up with Rachel until 3am EST to see the final results....my stomach is already kinda fluttery just thinking about it. I'm SO close...it's sure to be a night of nail-biting suspense. I'll be keeping a bucket close at hand, just in case I need to throw up. :)

That's also Jacob's 2nd birthday, so I'll be making him a cake tomorrow. I can't believe my little man is almost TWO! He's already getting difficult to subdue when I want to kiss and snuggle him....soon, I'll have to resort to having the other kids help me hold him down for zerberts! Man, it must suck to be the youngest. Heehee!

I love this dirty little boy. Isn't that a fantastic bruisey lump on his forehead? Kids, always listen to your mom when she tells you not to jump on the bed!

Okay, gotta make dinner....hope you all had a great weekend!

These are my three submissions for the Design Team search on TallyScrapper. And I'm really keeping my fingers crossed...there are a TON of fabulous entries in that gallery! I feel so much more prepared to be a DT member than I did last time...it's hard to explain, but it's like I've discovered my "groove." I've stumbled upon my style, finally! And even if I DON'T make it, I'm so very pleased with the artwork I've created. (Oh by the way, that last one is a mini album...you can see all 20 pages HERE.)

And now that my projects are complete...*big sigh*....I must clean. :)

Between trips to the pool, I've managed to get a few projects done and ready to mail...

I'm throwing my hat in the ring over at TallyScrapper and trying out for the design team....

And we had our friends Jason, Katie and Brian and the babies over for dinner last night. Just LOOK at what Katie and Maggie did to my articulated man!

Poor, poor wooden man.

Off to finish my GutterGirlz project and two more DT entries....

...counting down the minutes to midnight. You see, Alex was born on this day ten years ago...exactly 12 minutes into a fresh, new day. So we didn't have long to wait for his "birth minute," and decided to have some fun with pictures.

This boy is NINE...

But THIS boy....oh, man, THIS boy....is TEN.

Happy Birthday, Mouse.....I love you and your sarcasm, your sense of humor, your curiosity and quick wit, your enthusiasm, and your willingness to help out your old mom. Thanks for being such a great kid and super big brother. Just remember that no matter how old you get, you'll always be my little Mouse.

I'm not much of a card maker, but this one will have money in it....I bet he likes it just fine! :)
